Simple Audio Mixer Stripboard Layout

this is a quick project I made for another project I'm working on but I'm sure people will have uses for this so here you go.

it's also worth noting (as I have before) the purpose of C1 is to limit the bandwidth of the Op-Amp - in this case I've used a value to stop any hiss however you can experiment with the values and make a low pass filter - the higher you go the more it cuts off.

  3. Hi! This seems like a perfect project for my needs! Just a little question from a beginner, what voltage is needed for this? Ok with a 9 volts battery? Thanks in advance and big thanks for this magnificent site!

  4. Hi Paul...currently I have only 1uF elkos at hand. Can they be used as input capacities as well? I'm just wondering because of their polarization.

    Thanks for your advice!

    2. Hey, thanks for your quick response! And furthermore many many thanks for your great side. Half of my projects-to-solder-backlog consists of your lovely designs! This one will be used in a modded Korg Volca Beats in order to get easy and quick adjustable volumes/mutinings for each drum voice.

      Keep going! Regards from Germany,
      Ben

  5. Hi Paul, can you please explain why you chose the TL081 in this circuit? If I want a better low noise performance can the TL071 or even the TLE2071 be used in replacement? Looking at their data sheets it shouldn't be a problem but I'd like to hear your intention. Thanks.

    2. Ah that sounds comprehensible . I'll try the other op-amps as soon as they arrive and will give some feedback.
