this is a quick project I made for another project I'm working on but I'm sure people will have uses for this so here you go.
it's also worth noting (as I have before) the purpose of C1 is to limit the bandwidth of the Op-Amp - in this case I've used a value to stop any hiss however you can experiment with the values and make a low pass filter - the higher you go the more it cuts off.
Having a look at this for my early stages diy modular. Thanks for a very interesting and informative site.

ReplyDeleteHi! This seems like a perfect project for my needs! Just a little question from a beginner, what voltage is needed for this? Ok with a 9 volts battery? Thanks in advance and big thanks for this magnificent site!

yes, 9 volts should be fine
DeleteHi Paul...currently I have only 1uF elkos at hand. Can they be used as input capacities as well? I'm just wondering because of their polarization.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your advice!
yeah, they'll be fine - this way; IN---+||----
DeleteHey, thanks for your quick response! And furthermore many many thanks for your great side. Half of my projects-to-solder-backlog consists of your lovely designs! This one will be used in a modded Korg Volca Beats in order to get easy and quick adjustable volumes/mutinings for each drum voice.
DeleteKeep going! Regards from Germany,
Ben
Hi Paul, can you please explain why you chose the TL081 in this circuit? If I want a better low noise performance can the TL071 or even the TLE2071 be used in replacement? Looking at their data sheets it shouldn't be a problem but I'd like to hear your intention. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteyes try them. the reason I chose that op-amp is cause I had a load of them basically
DeleteAh that sounds comprehensible . I'll try the other op-amps as soon as they arrive and will give some feedback.
DeleteHello mate nice bllog
